One of my best tricks to saving money is to use discounted gift cards. Have you ever gotten a gift card for a store you don’t go to? Or received a gift card when you really need cash? Well, apparently a lot of people do so they sell them to various websites. No! Not regular-priced gift cards that are in the stores, but gift cards from various websites. With these gift cards, I easily save 10%-20% or more off the face value of the card. I often get gift cards for restaurants I go to such as Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, or TGI Fridays at a percentage off. I LOVE to use them for bigger purchases such as a clothing haul at Macy’s or Kohl’s.
I used to search each gift card selling website individually, but now I just use Gift Card Granny. Gift Card Granny lists the gift cards from multiple websites, so you can compare and save the most. My favorite part is that when you purchase gift cards after going through Gift Card Granny, you accumulate points. Once you reach 1,000 points, you get a credit to buy more gift cards!
